BUTTER BOOGIE!

Making Butter Boogie

Shake it up
Shake it down
Shake it, shake it all around.

Shake it high
Shake it low
Shake it, shake it to and fro.

Shake it over
Shake it under
Pretty soon, you'll have butter!

Making Butter!

We’ve been having fun studying about the farm. Each day we studied a different animal and wrote about them. We made butter on Friday. The students followed a simple recipe.
Step 1: Get materials ready.
Step 2: Pour ingredients and close the lid very, very, carefully!
Step 3: Shake…Shake… Shake…for several minutes.
Step 4: Check It! Butter, Sweet, Butter
Step 5: Eat and Enjoy!

Reduce...Reuse...Recycle

Mrs. Bryson wrote a grant that has been very beneficial for our Kindergarten and Pre-K students to learn about recycling. The grant allowed the students the opportunity to visit the Landfill, it provided bins for our classrooms so that the students could play an active role in recycling plastic and paper products. It also provided excellent resources in educating the students about the importance of saving our planet through recycling.
The field trip to the Landfill was a great way to expand the students' knowledge of how they make a difference in reducing their garbage and the importance of taking care of our Earth. The staff showed us what happens to our garbage when it is placed in the landfill, how they sort recycled materials, and creative ways to utilize recyclable materials.
We would like to thank Mrs. Bryson for all of her hard work and for winning the grant! We had fun visiting the landfill and learning about recycling!
